Brooklyn, New York
August 26, 2004
They house over 2,500 photographs, drawings and paintings and much of the work is contemporary. Also includes over 50,000 objects from all over the world and the local area. (My dad studied archaeology here, so that was kind of cool to see.) They have various exhibits from MFA shows to Audubon's Birds of America. And they also have these cool models from which furniture was made in the Great Depression.
As an art student, I enjoy pretty much all art galleries, but this was interesting to see because my dad studied archaeology and film here. But regardless, I think it's a good stop in Carbondale and something definitely worth checking out.
