OMG!!! I loved this place! Five floors of shopping and more shopping. Did I mention I loved this place??? They had everything you could think of...IPODs, Nike, Rolex, Memory drives, handbags, knocks offs, luggage, shoes, clothes, decor, electronics, jewelry, souvenirs...I was in heaven and EVERYONE was very impressed with there thoughtful gifts I brought back from
China. Go in there with you hats on tight. Drive a hard bargain. They would start off as much as four or five hundred us dollars, by the time I was finished I was paying eight. We left with Samsonite, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Coach, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Shirts, key chains, shot glasses, Rolex. Just in time for Christmas. I must admit, it may have been replica, but my eight dollar Gucci pocketbook is still in great condition and holding up. No stains, tears or rips.... Did I mention I love this place.
I plan my trips to China with a "must stop" at the Silk Market" SERIOUSLY...you have to go if you are a shopping guru. There are ATMS all over so don’t worry about falling short of cash. While we were there we had to buy a suitcase to eventually carry all the stuff we purchased. We did not spend over one hundred dollars for all the stuff we brought back. In the United States it easily would have came close to eight hundred, possibly even a thousand dollars. I am telling you it is so worth it. The pockets books and hand bags are on the bottom floor ladies! Indulge!
Silk Market
This place is not the place to go if you want to buy "Chinese things". The prices are hiked up even if you manage to haggle it down to 25% of the originally quoted price. It is more of a department store than a true market, however, if you are looking for knock-offs this is probably the easiest place to go. For true Chinese items at a fair price visit the Pan Jia Yuan Antique Market (18 Hua Wei Li, Pan Jia Yuan Road), also known as the Weekend Market.

This really is a fab market, though the name is deceptive. Although it does sell silk scarves, ties, etc., just about every stall sells purses and bags, rip-off Armani Jeans, and of course, polo shirts. I've rummaged through the markets of Hong Kong, Bali, and the notorious night market, Patpong, in Bangkok and seen all the fake Gucci, Dior, and Armani rip-offs, but this market certainly is one of the best for its quality and range of merchandise. This is a must, but remember to bargain hard!
