While the brass decorative items and wood-carved boxes are a dime a dozen in India, and terribly over-priced here, some of the Hindu sculptures and other art items are a good value simply because you cannot easily get that kind of quality elsewhere.
The emporium might be a place to do your shopping in Delhi if the convenience of lots of selection, good quality, and no bargaining hassle are most important to you. However, if you want to save a bit of money, the best thing to do is look through the emporium for ideas of what you like and quality levels, and then try to see what you can find in the smaller shops on Janpath (where you must haggle!). Then, if you still can't find something you've fallen in love with at the emporium, it may be worth going back to buy it.
