OSM (Orchestre symphonique de Montréal) had Yossif Ivanov, a 17-year-old violinist who performed brilliantly at the opening and with a great future ahead. He started learning at age five from a family of musicians.
Jean-Claude Casadesus, a conductor, also performed at a first-rate level with his world-class orchestra, having started his career as a percussionist and learning his way up the career path.
