The sand touches both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. The Pacific side is called Divorce Beach because the water is so rough!
Be careful, though. One of the people who had been near us at Lover’s Beach was red with bites. He had been stung while snorkeling there on his neck and arms by jellyfish.
