We brought most of our own personal dive gear with us then we just used the hotels tanks and weights for our weight belts. You can dive or go snorkeling just about anywhere, from right off the beach of your hotel or from a dive boat. Bonaire has some of the best diving I've ever seen!

The diving in Bonaire is rated very highly - which is one of the reasons we went there, however we went about a month after a major hurricane had ripped through the area & heard there was a lot a damage. Piles of dead coral was being washed up on the beach every day & beach erosion was evident - this didn't bode well for a great diving experience!
When we did eventually get to go diving it was not as good as we'd hoped but not terrible - we still saw some pretty reef fish, fans & coral.
The dive operation here is top class - the boats & equipment are brand new & the instructors very proficient & the reef will mend over time!!
