Are you looking for a fun way to experience Kaua'i? I strongly suggest Catamaran Kahanu. The company is owned by a native family and is operated by father and son. This company only takes 18 passengers at the most, whereas the other companies take up to 40. The father and son shared their knowledge of Kaua’i, including where their ancestors lived and how they lived, and native basket weaving techniques using coconut fronds. They took us to the Na Pali coast to snorkel and, on the way there, we saw three sea turtles, three bottle-nosed dolphins (very playful), and several Hawaiian spinning porpoises, which were also playful. The dolphins and porpoises came right up to the boat. Once you reach the Na Pali coast, you have a half hour to snorkel (I wish it was longer) and then you are served lunch. I would suggest taking Dramamine if you are inclined to sea-sickness. The trip home was very bumpy, but a BLAST.
More pictures to come soon.
