Kirkwood Ski Resort, south of South Lake Tahoe has a similar setup - not as extensive, and accordingly, probably not as expensive or crowded. Haven't been there (yet). There's lots of info on both of these places on their websites: Northstar Resort and Kirkwood Resort
Most anybody can do these rides - again, there's hardly any uphill climbing, and you can pick your level of trail difficulty and plan a route.
For those of you that subscribe to the "no pain, no gain" attitude, this might not be for you: a ride on the famous Flume Trail on the east side of the lake, Mr. Toad's, or parts of the rim trails might be a better workout, and a little more rewarding. Ask around at the bike shops - they know every trail around the area. Especially the guys at the Village Ski Loft. Have a good ride.
