On the paddle, the guide points out different types of plants and animals that you pass. It's not at all strenuous and, in fact, the guide pointed out that if you go too fast, you get too far ahead of the group to hear what he's talking about.
The mangrove trees are a beautiful sight to paddle through. They have the most amazing root system. The trunk just seems to split into a hundred branches that all dive into the water.
You learn about stone fish ("always poisonous, usually fatal"), yabbies, coffee rock... Nah, I'm not telling! You have to go on the paddle!
