Pompano Beach is a delight to visit. The crowds are evenly dispersed so that you have space, quiet, and privacy. The water is clear enough to snorkel. There are lots of beach activities, such as: kiyacking; diving; wave-running; wind-surfing, etc.

Pompano Beach, where we stayed, was quiet and just a strip of beach front hotels, but when we got the bus up to Las Olas, we found the Beach Place, which is a fantastic mall of small shops and loads of bars and restaurants. Every taste and budget is catered for -- two of our party even managed to consume over $200 of drinks and not pay a cent (although I wouldn't reccommend trying it on purpose).

It is soft sand and blue skies. This area doesn't have the large condo's and hotels on the ocean side. There is parking availble for those that are staying too far to walk. There are plenty of resturants and pubs nearby. Fishing piers and places of interest to visit along the beach.
