Ila, my Mother-in-law and I went to the acuario while my husband went fishing for the day. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was more than fish to be found here. We arrived at 9:30am as it was opening for the day, and by 12 noon we had seen it all. Besides the impressive aquariums with fish, which most listed information in both spanish and english, there is also a marine life museum with a tidepool learning tank, a small zoo,a botanical garden, and three different feature shows that repeat and can be seen every half hour throughout the day with the last show starting at 5:30pm.
My favorite was the sea lion show. They will do most anything for an anchovy, but don't sit in the front row unless you want to get wet, or kissed by one. The exotic bird show featured large birds performing stunts and tricks, and the diving exhibition featured a diver, of course in one of the large tanks. This was an entertaining and educational place to spend a few hours of your day and you really do get alot for your $5USD.
