Rose Island Tour

This is a tour I had heard about from others who had stayed at the same resort we stayed at. It was highly recommended. I pre-paid for the trip. It was $60, but this included everything.

Even though it was very much a party atmosphere, all 'types' were along. You could be as involved or removed from the group as you wanted.

We had all the drinks, alcoholic and non; we could drink from the time we stepped on the boat to the time we stepped off at the end of the day. Snacks, a full hot lunch, games (if you wanted to participate and for which we received a T-shirt), and sand volleyball were included. We snorkeled too, but that was an extra $7.50 per person. It wasn't great snorkeling, but we did see some fish, including a barracuda!

We partied on the way back to the resort and they had a dance contest as well. My husband and I placed LAST!! A bottle of rum was given to the winners and they deserved it!

It was a great day. We had a chance to get to know some of the other resort guests. We were the only ones on the whole island – there were maybe 50 people in all. It wasn't crowded at all. It was as much fun as those who had recommended it said it would be. It is a definite 'have to' if you go to Paradise Island!

From journal No wonder they call it Paradise Island!
