Description: My husband and I feel that Daytona Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the USA. We always enjoy visiting this little piece of paradise with our family or as a private getaway for two. Beach Street in Historic Downtown Daytona Beach offers everything you need from delicious local restaurants, a quaint bed and breakfast, unique retail stores, and many exciting events. Bike week is a big celebration in Daytona, but my husband and I are not really into that scene.
You may also want to take a drive on the beach in your car. It is a great experience, especially with the windows down. Beach driving is allowed during dayltime hours from one hour after sunrise to one hour before sunset, with the exception of turtle nesting season, which runs from May 1, through October 31, at which time the hours are set from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Beach driving conditions are sometimes poor during high tide and the beach may be closed to vehicles, however it is always open and accessible to pedestrians. The speed limit is 10 mph and is strickly enforced. Avoid soft sandy areas and stay in the traffic lane.
No matter what you do, just walking on the beach and enjoying a beautiful sunset is one of the many simple pleasures derived from a visite to Daytona Beach, Florida. My family has enjoyed many visits to Daytona and yours will too.
