THE BEACH!

Take bus 19 from the Citibank on the main square. It costs €1.20 and it takes about 45 minutes to get there, but the bus give a great tour of the city by passing the Ciutat de les Arts i de les Ciencies and The Opera house.

The beach is beautiful and mostly deserted on weekdays before about 3pm. Sunbath in a swimsuit or nude, play in the water, or walk along the beach.

It is usually empty in the early morning (9am), crowded at lunch (2 to 5pm) and empty at night. Sometimes jellyfish come up to shore, but there are alert flags that change color that will annouce when it is not safe to go into the water. The sand is beautiful and the water is a little cold, but the Valencian Summers get hot, so it can get a little sticky after laying out in the sun for only a half-hour!
