Watch the Ski Rentals and Long Lines

The mountain trails themselves are pretty good. For the beginners, you will find some of the beginner trails a challenge, they are much steaper then they should be with this rating. Also, if you are an avid skier, you know ski boots can make or break your day. This ski area DOES NOT CARRY 1/2 sizes, so if you are a half size you will be uncomfortable, either the boots will be too big and sloppy on the feet or too small and your legs will ache pretty quickly. Down the road is a couple of ski shops that rent equipment for $20 which is a $12 to $18 savings over Camelbacks rates. They are open past the close of the mountain to return gear, this is a much better deal. The staff is 50/50 when it comes to demeanor. Remember, most of these places are run by teenagers and thus not exactly service oriented. Watch the times you go, I suggest the evenings, here the evenings are from 3pm to close. When school it out, the buses are abundant and lines very long. The buses start to leave late afternoon, so the evening sessions will get you more runs. Parking, be prepared to hike, I suggest dropping your party at the lodge and only one of you make the long trek to the back parking lot. The shuttles run every 15min, but fill quickly, it's easier to have one person go with the car then the whole family. This is my second time this year, same experience both times.

Don't Go Near During Holidays, Really, Trust Me

Awful lines. Disorganized, crazy, never-again lines. Don't know what it's like other times, but don't come near this mountain during holiday week.
We arrived Tues, Dec 30 10:00am.
Waited a full hour in line, outside, in chaos, for tickets/rental tickets. No one had a clue what was going on. No signs. Different lines for just lift, for lift/rentals, for pre-registered, for cash, for multi-day passes, etc....but no signs...so everyone waited in wrong lines, then got mad....
Then waited fifteen minutes in line to "register" rentals. This meant having a woman type our height/weight/etc into computer. You can do this from home, on-line and skip this one line, but then...
Waited ten minutes in line for boots.
Waited twenty minutes in line for skis.
Waited ten minutes in line for helmets.
I'm not kidding--there was a separate line for each of these. I had to laugh to keep from crying.
We were SO happy to hit the slopes....but...kids had to go to the bathroom by then so they WAITED ten minutes in line to pee. Even the men's room had a line. I've never seen such a thing.
Then, waited twenty minutes in lift line.
Later, we waited twenty minutes in cafeteria line for chicken fingers with other very angry people. Could see teenagers "working" in kitchen, texting into their cell phones. After a man next to me got very angry, the woman admitted that no one had even started the chicken fingers we'd all been waiting fifteen minutes for. "Just a bunch of kids back there" she said. Uh-huh...
Did I say this place was awful during the holidays? Don't go near it.

Not Quite What I Expected

Mediocre resort, the crowds were absurd, (the line for rentals was about 2.5 hours) and by the time we got rentals, they were out of certain sizes of skis and were making substitutions or asking people to wait fo returns.

The trails, arguably the best part of the resort, only suit intermediate to advanced skiers. Their beginner trails are poorly marked, few and far between, and overly crowded. The advanced trails are too easy for those accustomed to skiing in Colorado.

Service wise, the staff is a bit lazy, uninformed, and sometimes downright rude. There were multiple instances of being brushed aside when requesting help and multiple instances of staff members standing idly by while lines formed out the door.

And suffice to say, the price that they charge is definitely not worth the experience you get. The food, which is understandably overpriced, was not fresh and caused a member of our party to get two days worth of food poisoning.

In conclusion, avoid at all costs unless you really have no other choice. Skiing in Colorado,
New York, and even Vermont are likely better

This park is a lot of fun for the whole family and a relaxing place to be. We bought the bonus night ticket, which is the same price as a full day, but if you go at night the first night, you get that free and can come back the next day. You can take your food with you, but you must leave it at a designated area with about 5 X-large tents with lots of picnic tables under. We were a little leery of leaving all our stuff there, but it was fine. There are lockers available, if you want to rent them. They are pretty lenient for the ages of children on the water slides but everything seems safe. We had a great time, even with an 2-3 year old child.

The height regulation is 36" for most of the slides as long as an adult is with them, and they have inner tubes that seat three people, so it was a lot of fun for our family of three to go on all the slides together. They also have a mini golf course, which is included in the price of your tickets, we paid $30 for the eve and next day together. Very reasonable. I would suggest this to anyone for a great time.

We live pretty close to this place, so we go there quite often. Has a good selection of slopes to choose from. Crowds were large, probably due to the holiday season and vacations, but wait times were still good. Easy to find, convenient to major roads. Prices were pretty good, but not great. Worth going to again.
