We chose this location to stay to visit the Everglades. This is definitely a tourist designed attraction, but provided us with a "back country" view using minimal time and money.
Since the summer is off-season in the everglades, and we did not have the time for renting/do-it-yourself experience this provided a good glimpse of the alligator/swamp habitat. Good commentary from the guide.
We were disappointed that the distance to the actual Everglades National Park was much further from this location then we had expected.
