Had a blast today!!! Admission is a little high but with the $4.00 coupon available on their website its not such a sting. Our kids aging from 10-2 had a great time they loved feeding the giraffes(so did I) the stingrays, the petting zoo the rides and all the different things to do like the paddleboat ferris wheel the maze and jungle boat feeding the koi fish! What a great place to visit! Bravo Lion Country Safari!!!

Lion Country Safari

Coming from an area where the local zoos have all animals caged in an unnatural setting, the Lion Country Safari was refreshing. Driving through animals in their natural habitat was exhilarating. My husband and I were in awe. Of course, he got yelled at a few times by park rangers because he kept opening his window to take pictures.

Safari World

Our visit to Safari World was cut short by weather. After spending a good part of the day driving through the safari, drizzle turned to rain as we began the walk-thru portion of Lion Country Safari. Safari World is set up like a small zoo with several types of animals. Several species of monkeys can be seen, as well as various bird species. A walk-thru of Safari World is worth taking, and free after admission to the drive-thru safari. This portion of the park doesn't compare to driving through the preserve, but you will see even more of a variety of animals and get just as close to many of them.

Lion Country Safari Tour Preserve

If you've had dreams of getting within arm’s length of various animal species from around the world, this is the place. The drive-thru tour of the park is done in your own vehicle unless it does not meet certain standards. If this is the case you can use a Jeep on site. The park is divided into seven sections, each representing different parts of the world. Each section contains a variety of animals that are all highly visible. Lions, rhinos, zebras, giraffes and other species walk within feet of your vehicle. This is a must-see for any visitor to this area who enjoys wildlife.

Really fun to do with the kids. Safari part is cool -- lots of animals roaming around your car. Nice to do on a hot day as the car is air-conditioned and the kids can get out of their car seats as you're only going about five miles per hour. Zoo park with the carousel, train and boat ride is neat, too. Make sure to look in the guide books for the $2 off coupon for everyone in the party.
