As FL residents, we have seasonal tickets; however, we took our 10-month-old for the first time to this park. If you're a family with very young kids or babies, this is the park for you. If you are a thrill-seeker and need to relax, this is the park for you too.
Disney made this park in an African-safari style. It is similar to Busch Gardens in Tampa in that respect, although more lavish in decor. The villages that the 'worlds' are in truly feel like villages, with huge trees topping your walkways and huts for stores. Everyone is in full costume, the food stations are clean and bright and so colorful, even the walls are filled with animals. We were exhausted after five hours, mainly from pushing the stroller! There is so much to see. There's only one true thrill ride, but there are a lot of animal encounters. Next time we intend to do the indoor attraction "It's Tough to Be a Bug."
Finally, one of the best parts of Animal Kingdom is that it isn't as crowded as the Magic Kingdom. It is so much easier to get a picture with Mickey and other cast members. You don't have to wait in line, just walk right up for the most part!
