The candies are handmade, and encompass all the old-time favorites -- several varieties of fudge, great pecan rolls, ribbon candy, taffy -- over 40 kinds in all. The ice cream used to create shakes, sodas, sundaes, and banana splits is Purity Ice Cream, manufactured in Galveston since 1889. There is also a coffee and espresso bar for those who prefer a caffeine rush with their sugar.
This place is great fun for kids, and a welcome break for adults, whether to cool off in the hot summertime, or get something warm to drink when the cool weather rolls in.
