Walt Disney World

I think everyone knows what it's like to go to Walt Disney World. It's like the greatest escape from reality. It's like a fantasy come true. I'm a major Disney fanatic anyway, so of course I recommend it very highly.

Disney is the Magic Kingdom. Our son loves Buzz Lightyear; he rode the Buzz rides and got his picture made with Buzz. He hasn't stopped talking about it yet.

When going to the Magic Kingdom, go by Ferry. If you use the Monorail like everyone else, it will take longer to arrive. Getting on the Ferry at 9 PM or just prior is the best part; you get the best seat in the park for fireworks.

Walt Disney World is all it is hyped up to be. We always enjoy it. The best time to visit is in February/March before it gets too hot and the daily thunderstorms arrive. Make sure to take the opportiunity (with or without kids) to go to a character meal. It is also a great place to be without kids (though we haven't experienced that yet, we look forward to the day...).

We visited there numerous times, and there's always something going on. Looking at the Lego sculptures (spaceship, alien, old man sleeping, and others) was great! Visiting the resorts and walking around them and looking in their shops for Disney products.

If you have never been to Walt Disney World, you need to experience it at least once. We have been going since our children were very small and continue to go and enjoy it just as much as ever. It is a fun family experience with lots to see and do for all ages. We took our parents (in their 70''s) with us and they had just as much fun as we did. Although, I have to say that they have been season pass holders since they winter in Florida! This last year and continuing on into 2003, they are celebrating 100 years of Disney, so there are special parades, light shows, and lots of extra activities.
