It was a relaxing day. For kids, young and old, there are amusement and water rides, Sponge Bob Square Pants Turbo Action Ride, Clifford the Big Red Dog, animals, shows, music, and games. Ride the old steam engine.

We ate at the Hickory House. The food was great. We had a half rack of barbeque ribs, fries, and a baked-beans platter for $10.95.

This is a very fun place. Everything is clean and in good working order. The lines went fast, so we could ride as much as we wanted. The landscaping is gorgeous! Their tram system from and to parking is very efficient.

They sell MANY things to eat, but they will give you a FREE cup of ice water if you ask for it at any concession.

"I'm not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I'm not dumb... and I also know that I'm not blonde." ~ Dolly Parton

I have made a list of things to see and do in Dollywood:
1. Thunderhead Roller Coaster. Wooden coasters are my favorite. I was also thrilled to know you rode on the side but didn't tip over.
2. Chasing Rainbows: The Dolly Parton Story. This displays pictures, dresses, and even Dolly's attic.
3. Rockin' Roadway, where you drove a Cadillac while Elvis sang about his "blue suede shoes."
4. Smoky Mountains River Rampage promises you will get wet, and you do happen to float toward a waterfall that no matter what side you are on will get wet.
5.Feed huge (I mean huge!) fish near the Apple Jack's Sandwich Shop. I'm not kidding - they're huge.
6. The Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum to see interactive dummies sing the scales, pictures of Dolly, and other gospel bands.
7. Dollywood Express. Don't sit on the sides, because you will get soot from the train that uses coal.
8. Backstage Restaurant. This is the best place to eat in all of Dollywood. This elegant, bang-for-your-buck restaurant fills you up and provides an atmosphere as though you are backstage. Meals are $12 and less.
9.Star Walk and Friendship Garden has beautiful flora and names on a brick path to the Backstage Restaurant. Marie Osmond is a name you'll be likely to see.
10. See the preservation of crafts in the Craftsman's Village. Glass-blowers, a blacksmith, and much more awaits.

Dollywood is a great park for sure, with great food as well! If you haven’t been down there, do it soon! Thunderhead and Tennessee Tornado are both really great coasters, the Mountain Slidewinder is voted one of the best non-coaster attractions in the world, and Daredevil Falls is also very well themed and fun.

The food is outstanding, the staff is accommodating and VERY friendly, and the theme is very nice. If you've never been or haven’t been in a while, get there soon!

Dollywood is quite a large amusement park in the Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg. It has a wide assortment of rides. Top-notch roller coasters, faster rides, log flumes, and plenty of other rides are fun for the whole entire family.

Along with the rides, there is a wide assortment of craft areas where you can watch the workers perform their crafts. Some of the crafts you can view are candle-making and glass-blowing. Then, of course, there are stores where you can buy the freshly made wares made from extremely talented people right there before your very eyes.

Also throughout the park are some good eateries (for amusement-park standards). There are funnel-cake stands and restaurants that serve down-home Southern cooking that’s not too shabby.

If you are a fan of country music, or even if you're not, there are plenty of entertaining shows throughout the park with singing and dancing, comedy, and magic.

You can definitely have a very fun-filled day at Dollywood and not run out of things to do. If you are lucky, you may even catch Dolly Parton there, as she does perform at the park at times. (I have never lucked out and seen her there.)
