I personally think this is about the worse theme park I have ever been to. There are maybe 5 rides each for adults, children, and toddlers. You wait 15 to 45 minutes to ride each one and then you get to ride from 1 minute to 2 1/2 minutes depending on the ride. The few shows they have you get to wait in line for also. But if you love to browse shops that are really expensive, this is the place to be. Personally I don't see paying $45 to shop when there are lots and lots of shops in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to browse, and, you can most likely afford to buy something there.

It's wonderful family fun. The price is very good for a 3-day pass that lets you go to Dollywood and the water park. My kids rode the roller coaster 10 times. The lines where short in the midst of June, and I loved the shopping.

Dollywood is a great place for the entire family. They have something for everyone. There are rides and attractions for any age. The Craftsman's Valley area is a great place to relax and see things being made close up. There is also an American Bald Eagle sanctuary in Craftsman's Valley. This is a rare opportunity to see a bald eagle up close.

Dollywood is an enjoyable day, more so if you are a fan of Dolly herself. There are many of Dolly's costumes and personal treasures on view. She also visits several times a year, but was not there when we visited.

Food is also plentiful here at Dollywood, with anything from buffets to ice cream. It can be expensive, though, so you may want to eat a good meal once instead of indulging in pricey junk food.

There are many souvenir shops with Dolly merchandise. Also at Dollywood, you will find many unique gifts, such as hand-blown glass works of art, woodcrafts, and homemade candy.

The price, however, our family felt was a little high. The $43 is getting close to Disney prices, and I don't think they are ready to compete with Disney yet.

If you are used to going to many major amusement parks, this will be disappointing for you. There are quite a few kiddie rides, but the older child to adult rides are limited and few. The setup is more of a shopping mecca rather than an amusement park. If you aren't planning on getting wet, the number of rides is extremely limited. I couldn't imagine spending a full day there. We were repeating rides after about an hour.
