Magic Kingdom

I found Magic Kingdom to be more for smaller kids. In Future Land we did Space Mountain early to avoid the lines. The water ride (the name I can't recall) was a blast, but be prepared to get a little WET!

This is the "main" park of Disney World. You really need to plan 2 full days, minimum, to be able to tour the whole park. This park had the most to see and the most rides, especially for our 4-year-old. The best rides were Buzz Lightyear, Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, Goofy's Barnstormer, and the Haunted Mansion. Be sure to check the daily maps to see the character-interaction sites.

Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Part I

Magic Kingdom is one place every Orlando visitor must go see, whether or not they are accompanied by kids. This park is filled with so many fun things to do, and everything is magical and fun here.

The rides are all fun, and they have many fun and interactive shows as well. Cinderella's Castle is the central part of this park and is a fun place to hang out and watch the shows throughout the day. At night, don't miss the parade and the fireworks display.

This magical place is fun for people of all ages!

This parade is spectacular, you see practically every Disney character. The lights are amazing, the music brings tears to your eyes. The fireworks are phenomenal.

Walt Disney World Resort: Magic Kingdom

Upon walking into the Magic Kingdom, I knew this really was truly a magical place. I was amazed at the buildings and the details of this amusement park. I felt like a little kid who was astonished by the big world outside.

Upon entering, we had to go on some of the rides that I had heard so much about. My favorite was Splash Mountain. At the beginning of the ride we got into a hollowed out log that seated six people, then the ride took us through tunnels that were supposedly made by Brer Rabbit. Along side the walls of the tunnel were Disney characters and murals painted everywhere. I loved looking at all of the neat scenes that they had done, then finally the log makes it to the top of this five story lookout and plunges down into the water below. Depending on the way the ride hits the water determines how soaked you will actually get.

My second favorite attraction at the Magic Kingdom was The Haunted Mansion. This kind of surprises me since I don’t like creepy dark things. For me, I loved the inside of the Mansion that this ride went through. Of course it was hard to see a lot of the details of the house since it was dark and things were trying to fly out at us but I did manage to go on this ride several times just to see new things about the house.

All of the classic rides are at the Magic Kingdom like: Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Its a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and Peter Pan’s Flight. Even for me as an adult I loved looking at all of the details that were put into these fairly tale rides at the Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom is known for their celebrations. On certain nights they do a grand fireworks show with parades and music. Make sure to find out when the parades and celebrations start and find a spot to enjoy it in early because the crowds can be overwhelming.
