Once you're traveling up the mountain you begin to feel as if you're in the old west. Everything you see around you seems it like hasn't changed in 150 years. There are still mines and old abandoned wagons.
Once you reach Virginia City the main street is alive with shops and saloons from days gone by. There are many historical sights, one which was worked in by Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain). He lived and worked in Virginia City. It is still a bustling little town. If you're in the area you need to stop by and visit!
