Watch out for the snow-boarders if you're hiking! Great exhibit of the Olympics inside the building, restrooms, eating places. Pool, skating rink, walking areas. Make a day of it! The ticket price is steep for just the ride, so plan to spend hours there, and you will definitely feel as though you've gotten your money's worth! Take your camera. The view is different than from anywhere else!

After riding the cable car to an elevation of more than 8,000 feet for great views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierras, we sat down for a few drinks and a bite to eat at High Camp. After a trip through the olympic museum we were able to skate on the Olympic Ice Pavillion. From High Camp we boarded down the famous "3 mile mountain run" back to the base.

High camp also offers lessons for beginners at their ski school, as well as nightime activities.
