The hike from this point is approximately one mile in length and is rated easy. You'll be hiking on well-maintained trails that are very much in the open, so be prepared with water. Two thirds into the hike you will approach lower Angora Lakes - be sure to take in the scenery, however don't stop there, continue a bit further and WOW! Wait till you see upper Angora Lake - it looks like a Hollywood back drop set into pine trees and granite rock formations.
While taking in this natural sight take notice to the rustic cabins that are available for rent. We were told there is a waiting list to rent them. One of the highlights of the lake area is to purchase a pitcher of homemade lemonade and rent a canoe.
For a trip that's short on time this is a must for everyone.
