Usery Mountain Park

This beautiful mountain park encompasses over 3,600 acres with elevation varying from 1,700 to 2,750 feet. Hiking and mountain biking are great ways to experience the Sonoran Desert up close. Family-friendly (translation: easy) trails include the Merkl Memorial Loop (.9 miles) and the Blevins Trail (2.9 miles). If your kids are over five, you may want to opt for the Wind Cave Trail which is only a bit more difficult and offers magnificent mountain views. Check the website for other trails available with varying levels of difficulty.

Throughout the park there are also several picnic ramadas, some with nearby playgrounds to wear out your kids (just in case they didn't get enough exercise on the trail).

There is a $5/car entrance fee for day use.
