Even after reading some of the negative reviews I decided to take the kids up to the top via the tram anyhow. I question my judgement greatly on this one. The lack of things to do up at the top are astounding. There is so very little to do with ...Read more

The tram blew a fuse on the way up, leaving us stranded for 15-20 minutes mid-ride. The actual "attraction," once we got there, had NOTHING at all special other than a bear "habitat," which I could swear also exists IN THE MOUNTAINS, except bigger, ...Read more

This place is fun and affordable. The tram ride to the mountain is an adventure on its own, then when you get to the top there are things for every age to enjoy. The Alpine slide is the best.

You take the sky ride up the side of the mountain. The signs say that each car has the capacity of 120 people. We had 78 in our trip down, and I don't know how they could have gotten 40 more people in!!! Once at the top, there is a small ...Read more

Take the sky tram from the downtown parking garage. If you ski, they credit back the cost of riding the tram on your lift ticket. If you drive up, sometimes parking is full and the lines to pay and get into the parking lot can be very long.

Ober Gatlinburg is for non-skiers as well as skiers. There are other things to do, as I previously indicated. It can be reached by road, driving up the mountain from stop light number 10 in Gatlinburg, but this is not recommended because the ...Read more

We rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain.

What a view!

The ski lift is kind of scary - we felt like we just might fall out - but the view is worth the scary feeling.
