The place is well maintained. The prices are very fair. There are little shops. There is a haunted hotel. It's a great place to visit, it is fun for everyone.

Rawhide- Experience the WIld West!

Rawhide is an old western town located just north of the Sunterra Scottsdale Villa Mirage. We came upon this as we were driving up to the grocery store. It is an excellent replica of what an old western town would of looked like. Since we were there during the off-season, the show was not running but we were able to walk around the town and wander into the many stores. There were gun fights happening while we were there and goats wandering along the main street. There were train rides, camel rides, and stage coach rides available to take. And, of course, there was the restaurant, which was great (see my review of this). In all, this is a great place for all ages.

Rawhide- Experience the WIld West!

This is a wonderful old western town. Upon walking past the covered wagons, cowboys greet you as you enter the main street. Quaint shops, a shooting gallery, and camel rides are just some of the interesting things to do. Entrance to Rawhide is free, and you can buy tickets for the rides if you wish.

Picture yourself back in the middle of the Wild West during the heyday of mining. This little Arizona town is chock-full of with an array of gunslingers, miners, old codgers, young whippersnappers, saucy ladies, saloon girls, and straight-shooters. Throw in a few Native American dancers, Mexican senoritas, outlaws, trainrobbers, and assorted what-have-you, and that's RAWHIDE! Enjoy all the attractions which aim at authenticity. Entertainment with an educational twist (at times). At any rate you are BOUND to love it. Admission is free with extra charge for tickets to some attractions.

The show and atmosphere took you back to the 1880s. They had built a replica of the Old West, complete with shoot-outs and stagecoaches. It is well worth the experience, and kids love it. They get involved in the shoot-outs - good versus evil. The steakhouse was fabulous as well. The food was fresh and delicious.
