Indoor Water Park

An indoor water park. Seems like it would be small, but actually it’s very nice in size. They have a ship for the younger ones that they can climb and slide. Water spouts from the very shallow pool. There are a few different bigger slides for the older ones. There is what they call a lazy river, if you like to float on a raft and just relax. Wake up before you get to the waterfalls along the sides. There’s a couple relaxing hot tubs. There are restaurants in the building. Indoor open rain or shine.

The indoor water park is a great way to spend a cold "outside" day. The temperature outside was -2 and we were inside the water park in our swimsuits going down slide after slide. We used our "gold card" from Mirror Lake Resort and received a discount on our admission fee – the cost for the four of us was $91. These tickets were good for all day.

Get to the park early to get a good seat. There is a balcony that overlooks the water activities, which has tables, chairs, and even a big screen TV -- great for Sunday afternoon football games. Dad can watch the game while the kids play in the water.

The park is the largest indoor water park in America. The slides include a 52-foot and 32-foot double-tube slide, two 32-foot tall body slides, a 400-foot Mayan-themed lazy river, an activity pool with a water walk and water basketball, two huge whirlpools with waterfalls, and the park also includes a game room with lots of games.

Check out the water park website. You can order your tickets in advance, but I suggest using your "gold card" to receive extra discount. I was talking to a guard and was told that the price in the summertime includes both the outdoor and indoor water parks.

There were 5 or 6 main slides - most required a tube to ride. The lazy river was really great - there were areas where the water bubbled up. When I'm relaxing, though, I don't particularly like getting wet with various sprays of water shooting out - but I guess getting wet is the idea.

There is a cute area for the little ones with a pirate ship, fountains, and little slides.

We thought this waterpark was a better value than some of the newer, bigger parks.

We all love to be wet! You can just relax in the water or you can do some of the more exciting water activities. Or you can do both! Take a lunch and drinks and spend the day, or buy everything there! It doesn't matter . . .
