Olympic Raft & Kayak guided our morning river rafting on the Elwha River. A cute and friendly professional guide led us in a raft with six people through the river that included some whitewater and some calm rafting. The Elwha River is a Class II+ whitewater river in the heart of the Olympic Mountains. It was exciting, but not too scary for us first-timers.
The scenery was gorgeous - a Pacific Northwest rainforest. The trip we chose was a few hours on the river within Olympic National Park.
We rented wetsuits and the rain gear and foot warmers. The water was cold and it snuck in the boat so we were glad to have the cozy package of gear.
