Daytona Beach at low tide is up to 500 feet wide. Spend a day at the beach relaxing in the sun. My family and I enjoyed riding bikes up and down the beach and boogey boarding the surf. We also built sandcastles, played ball and went shelling.

From May 1 through October 31, the sea turtles emerge from the surf at night to lay their eggs in nests dug into the dry sand; then they return to the sea. Two months later, about a hundred baby turtles or hatchlings emerge from each of these nests and crawl to the ocean. Volusia County has taken several steps to protect these gentle creatures. This is a great time to visit and watch this great act of nature!

Watching your husband build a sandcastle with his daughter and then try to out-swim his three teenage boys was a mother’s dream come true. The beaches were great and the children slept on the way back to Orlando. Don't forget the sunscreen. The children were protected by the sunscreen, but Dad forgot his back and had third degree burns.

Very good for honeymooners for family vacations. Quiet and private. Resort with many swimming pools for both children and adults. Children’s playground. Every unit has whirlpool or Jacuzzi. All master bedrooms have king-size beds. All units except for studios have full kitchen. Living room has queen size leather couch/bed, 52" TV with satellite, and wet bar. Marble table in dining room and breakfast counter. If you are looking for a luxurious vacation, check out an exchange to Westgate Vacation Villas.

I had a friend that was in college in Daytona Beach. Lots of young people go to Daytona during spring break and have a good time. It's always a good area to go and party, and meet new and interesting people. The crowd will be a mixture of locals and out-of-towners. The colleges bring young people from every state, but also the atmosphere brings individuals from other states to PARTY!

Two thumbs up!
