Simon Creek Vinyard and Winery

This is the newest and probably the most sophisticated of the wineries in Door County and the vicinity. Not to mention the people are extremely nice and they serve you their wine in real glass, not the little plastic shot glasses.

At this winery I felt relaxed and not uncomfortable about asking to sample the same wine again. The winery tour was very informative and uses modern techniques/equipment in their brewing and bottling process. All of their equipment was shipped directly from France or Italy, and it looks extremely expensive. The winery also allows you to be in the bottling room when they are bottling wine to get the full experience.

Maybe next year's tours will allow you to rummage throught their vinyard, which is now the largest in Wisconsin. By the way, their wine is excellent and bottle presentation is very simple, yet sophisticated.
