The hot springs at Aguas Calientes are a blissful way to soothe the aching bones. The hot waters are sulphurous and therefore look and smell disgusting but feel positively lovely! Surprisingly, there didn't seem to be many tourists there when I went late in the evening after my trek.
It only costs a couple of dollars to get in; a beer costs a couple more. There are changing rooms--so you don't have to do the 'tiny towel' dance--with very very very cold showers to get the mud off. Be warned--it takes forever to get even nearly clean.
