This unique business offers an hour long tour of beautiful Lake Merritt in an authentic Venitian gondola. You'll enjoy views of parkland and birds - Lake Merritt was the first wildlife refuge in North America and still houses countless birds year-round at the eastern end of the lake.
Your gondolier will sing Italian love songs while you enjoy a plate of Italian antipasti. They will also provide glasses if you bring the wine.
Nighttime is even more beautiful than daytime, with the lake ringed by a string of small white lights. Note: the interior park can be a bit creepy at night, so it's not for the faint of heart; the exterior footpaths are very safe.
