Olympia Farmer's Market was a nice place to visit to look at fresh produce, fresh-baked goods, merchandise, and the food court. The musical entertainment was of limited interest and soon got tiresome, but the locals liked it. There was one vendor that offered great dessert items from a refrigerated display case - the desserts were quite good and not overly sweet. Free wifi.

April to October: Thursdays to Sundays 10am to 3pm
November to March: Saturday to Sunday 10am to 3pm

Olympia Farmer's Market
On a sunny afternoon (yes, we do have them - a little known secret is Washington's pristinely beautiful summers), you can pick out the freshest fruits and vegetables, find a lush salmon filet for dinner, and cozy up in front of the main stage for a mid-afternoon concert.

You can buy starter plants in the spring and early summer, find framed prints, beautifully-crafted wooden boxes, and so much more in this airy, open building. There are also several small food kiosks for a quick meal - ranging from hearty vegetarian, Indian, Italian, Vietnamese, and the almighty coffee.

Some favorite stalls are: Sea Blossom Seafoods (for a beautiful copper river salmon, fresh mussels, or clams), Johnson Farms (luscious raspberries, marionberries, & more), San Francisco Street Bakery (mmmmmm...), in late summer the dahlia's abound, but fresh flowers are there all year, & there's also the salsa guy, he sells the spices for great salsa - just add the tomatoes & cilantro.

Open April through October:
Thursday - Sunday, 10 am - 3 pm

And November through December:
Saturday & Sunday, 10 am - 3 pm
