Beach behind Hotel Continental Plaza

I was only in Acapulco for a weekend and my objective was to relax and get a decent tan. My mission was easily accomplished. The beach was not crowded. Most of the guests at the hotel seemed to prefer the pool. I should mention that the beaches are a little dirty and that the undertow is horrible. I could barely stand in the water, let alone swim out into the ocean any distance. There are calmer waters in Acapulco, but many beach areas have the undertow. Also, there are a good number of beach merchants trying to snap your photo or sell you jewelry. I wasn't bothered by these folks, but lots of people get annoyed with their persistence. All in all I enjoyed my weekend, but I have been to better beaches.
