Tubing

This place is great family fun and it costs $20 for about a two-hour river ride. The group met at the resort and was bussed to the Shenandoah River where we were all dropped off with our tubes and a guide. We were given brief instructions and were in the water! Water shoes are a must for getting in and out and the river was gentle enough for young children.

Skyline Drive

Taking a drive along the 105-mile Skyline Drive is a must! This drive runs along the crest of a section of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The views are absolutely beautiful. There are many places to stop along the drive with hiking trails differing in length and difficulty, including 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail. We saw numerous deer and a black bear!
