Old Harbor Life Saving Station Museum

The Old Harbor Life Saving Station Museum was moved to its present site in 1977-78. It's empty of furniture but does house a rescue boat and examples of the breeches buoy, the apparatus used by the Life Saving Station to rescue shipwrecked mariners. The park ranger on duty gave an interesting talk about the station and the men who used to work here. A short film helped bring this almost forgotten era to life.
