Even though Islamorada is known as the "Sport fishing Capital of the World", we think it also should be known for some top notch dive sites. On the second day of our trip, we headed out to our favorite Islamorada dive shop, Lady Cyana , and boarded a boat (with only three other divers) to a spot known as The Secret Garden.
The Secret Garden was a spectacular mix of both hard and soft coral. The visibility and tropical marine life was amazing. The depth ranged from 25-35 feet so we got an incredible amount of bottom time to observe and interact with tons of tropical fish, several rays, eels, and nurse sharks (harmless of course). There was only a slight current, and the dive was a perfect way to start the day.
