South Beach

What can I say about South Beach other than it’s an incredible place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous weather, the majestic ocean, and the beautiful people (topless if they prefer). Originating from the Northeast, and this being my first trip to Miami, I was amazed to find such a warm and mellow place. Only spending two days on South Beach is hardly enough! The weather was in the mid- to upper 80s, and it was the beginning of November?!? I think I may like this place better than the SoCal beaches. I am a SoCal beach lover, but this place is now at the top of my list when it comes to beaches in the winter. You can relax at the beach or stroll down Ocean Drive, which is only a few hundred yards away and has plenty of places to eat and shop. Parking was incredibly easy; on Sunday we found a parking lot just off 13th Street on the A1A, which was $8 for an entire 24 hours.

The people at the beach are from all over the world: several Germans, Italians, and other Europeans are mixed in with the common Latinos and plain old Americans. It makes for a dynamic environment and great people-watching. Most people leave their inhibitions at home.

On the whole, if you like the beach, this is a must!!! I will return!!!!

Walking in Miami Beach

Walking in Miami Beach

Well, you’re walking down the path, be careful for other walkers, bike riders, and rollerbladers, they are on the walkway. The walkway is located in front of the beaches. If you’re walking towards north, on the right you have the beaches and on the left great luxurious shopping centers and stores. If you’re walking towards the south, on the left are beaches and on the right are the shopping centers. But either way you can enjoy the beautiful Island harmony and beautiful ocean breeze. Plus you can witness the beautiful sunset at around 7 to 8, also Ideal for couples to sit on the benches or roll out a towel on the beach for a romantic view of the sunset. Hope ya'll like my hometown.

South Beach

The beach is not far… cross Ocean Drive and voila… the ocean is yours. The beach is beautiful and the water has the colour of a swimming pool. Hopefully for me and my ego, top models are not here. During the winter and early spring, South Beach looks like a world model gathering. They even have their own beach volleyball tournament, Volleypalooza, that’s become kind of a fixture now. Ladies, South Beach is the only public beach I know that allows topless sunbathing. So, if you’re not shy and want to get rid of those tan lines, you know what to do.

It's the best place to have fun, hang out, see and be seen, meet new people, and just be yourself. Walk, talk, meet, greet, and have fun.

South Beach can be for the beautiful people, but aren't we all beautiful? :-) I love to go to South Beach for lunch and sit at a sidewalk restaurant and watch everyone go by. This place is for everyone, all cultures, creeds and sexual orientations. The place where everything goes. Restaurants range from bar food to quiet intimate fu-fu. Try it out.
