Busch Gardens!

Although the cost has increased significantly over the past few years, Busch Gardens is still a lot of fun for the whole family. There are child rides and shows for the family to see, as well as roller coasters for those young at heart. Apollo's Chariot is great - very smooth but still makes your stomach flip on the 210-foot initial drop. Food is somewhat pricey, but the shows in Oktoberfest while you eat were wonderful and the kids stayed entertained the entire time. On the Alpengeist roller coaster, your legs hang down so make sure to take shoes off or sit on them if they are in danger of falling. There is a bit of walking, so make sure you're wearing comfortable shows. Some rides also get you wet, so if you plan on going on those wear something appropriate. It has different "lands" which is an exciting way for the park to be set up. A very enjoyable, but tiring day!

It has dozens of thrilling rides and attractions, eight main stage shows, a wide variety of authentic foods and shops, and a children’s area. It also has a Rain Guarantee which allows guests who experience wet weather during their visit to return the very next day.

They have beautiful landscaping, great food, and over all a very clean park. If you like rollercoasters, Alpengeist is a must -- it is the world's tallest, most twisted inverted roller coaster. Alpine "skiers" are launched on the most chilling ride of their lives as this snowbeast twists an innocent ski lift into six staggering inversions and a 170-foot drop. Also a favorite is Lochness Monster, an interlocking double-looping roller coaster gives you a peek at Scotland’s most infamous "monster." Reaching 13 stories into the air, this "creature" offers a spine-tingling, breathtaking ride at speeds up to 60 mph.

Some of the animal attractions are the world-famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales. Eagle Haven, a haven for injured eagles as part of its commitment to conservation and wildlife preservation. Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve takes you inside the wild world of endangered and exotic animals to learn about the importance of habitat preservation.

This Busch Gardens was built on the theme of the many countries in Europe. Various parts of the park represented the different areas of the world. The foods from each different country also represented that area. Germany had a big (beer) hall with various German goodies, such as knockwurst and sauerkraut and German music and dancers. The French quarter had sidewalk cafes that served French pastry. YUM! Getting around the park could also be confusing. Sometimes you would find yourself walking around in a circle and ending up back in the same place. (Were we the only ones that did that? I don't think so!) The amount of walking could be tiresome for younger children or older adults. The water rides helped to cool you down on those hot summer days.
