Nature in its Finest

While staying in Flagstaff, we ventured off to various locations throughout our trip. Our favorite one was Sedona, a small, quaint village with awesome giant rocks jutting up into the sky. We met people who, like us, were once visitors to this beautiful land, but they never left. This area attracts artisans, craftspeople, and vagabonds. I would have loved to have stayed forever.

Sedona

If you have older kids 10-16 and don't want to spend the money to visit Slide Rock State Park, park at Midgely Bridge and hike down to the river. The hike on the red dirt with beautiful views is fun enough, but once you get to the river and slip on some river shoes, that's when the real fun begins. Not very crowded. Great place to sun, swim, and slide in the river on your rear.
