La Jolla and All that Entails

La Jolla is one of my favorite places in San Diego., It is one of the most beautiful scenic areas around. We started off our visit by parking and walking down to the cove where the seals come out and sun bath for hours. You can walk out on a pier and watch them. Be careful though you might get splashed by the tides coming in.
After watching the seals for a while we deiced to walk the cost area. We took a short hike down some rocks and enjoyed the gorgeous views. La Jolla is a great place to rest and relax and take in all that San Diego is about. When you have spent a few days in L.A. this is just the place to go and refresh from the craziness.
La Jolla offers several little parks, picnic tables, benches walking and bike riding trails and several other activities. This places is a great family friendly area.

Scuba Diving La Jolla Cove - Amazing
What a beautiful place to scuba dive. We went out with our guides from www.snorkelsandiegoscuba.com who were wonderful by the way. We saw a bat ray, two huge crabs, small octopus, and so many beautiful fish I thought I was in an exotic aquaruim. Highly recommended for all scuba divers.
La Jolla Coves

During one of our afternoons we drove to the coves of La Jolla to walk the boardwalk and watch the seals sunbath. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and we found many tourists and locals enjoying the day. There were families riding bikes, men playing Frisbee, and even a bride and groom taking wedding photos.
The coves are a series of inlets lined with rocky shores, beaches and caves. There are always seals sunbathing on the rocks and that day we were not disappointed. Of course, the smell is horrific but watching the seals play is a lot of fun. There are condos and hotels, old and new, lined along the area. You can tell the area is good for surfing because of the boards hanging on the patios of the homes.
It was only a few miles from our hotel and very easy to reach. Just follow the signs. It is a nice walk if it is a warm day. Ours was a little cool because of the air blowing off the ocean. Take a jacket and you should be fine.

La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove. Not only a place of a full day of family fun on the beach, but it is also a romantic hot spot. La Jolla Cove is in the beautiful community of San Diego. Here you will find people exercising along the trails, and who can blame them, what better way to get a jog in; feeling the cool Pacific breeze blow against your body while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Parking may be a slight problem especially on the weekends, but you should be able to find a spot a few blocks away with no problem, it will be worth it! There are many restaurants and visitation spots as well as reefs and beach areas. You can stroll down the path to see the beached sea lions or perch on a cliff under a tent with your family for the day. This is the perfect spot for any person or group of people looking for a classy day to spend time with nature. Don't forget the sunscreen!

This area is really beautiful and offers some great photo ops. The rugged beauty of the beach area and then the ocean against it creates a pretty area. The rocks are neat formations formed from the pounding surf. It is really cool to see the area if you get the chance.
