Description: We got gussied up and had a wonderful Chinese dinner at Empress Court in Caesar's. Then on to the show. I somehow got tickets to see Celine Dion on her second night right after she opened. I don’t really like her that much but I thought it would be an amazing experience to see a headliner in Vegas right when the show opens.
I knew I planned on writing a travel journal so I was on the lookout for the negative things about the show. I thought the show was fabulous and worth the money (I had the $150 seats). But here are the few complaints that I had, and remember, I was looking for them. It takes a long time to get the audience seated. They wanted us there at 7:30pm, an hour before the show starts. Everyone had to go through metal detectors. The show didn’t start until 8:40pm, which is only 10 minutes late but we were already restless. And we thought the seats were small. We are regular size and short. I don’t know how a bigger person could be comfortable because we sure weren’t. Those are my only complaints.
Celine has the most amazing voice. After seeing the gal sing at the Tropicana the night before and then hearing Celine sing, I knew how special she was to have a voice like that. I liked it when she sang, but not when she talked. That’s because I don’t like her that much. And the people were going crazy for her! There were standing ovations a few times during the show after a song. They were deserved, but I think part of it was because she had a lot of die-hard fans there. People were yelling out they loved her and stuff. I figure that will die down in a few months.
