State Street has the best stores in Chicago. There is a Bakers, Forever 21, Marshall Fields, Wet Seal, Payless, Aldo and much more. The best store here is Forever 21 because its is so big and they have the best sales here. Other than stores, the restaurants they have here are Potbelly, Jamba Juice, McDonald's and some more. The best thing is that State St. isn't too far from the Water Tower and all the stores around there so its walking distance.

There's a reason why Frank Sinatra emphasized that State Street is "that great street," where "they do things they don't do on Broadway." Well, that may have been about 50 years ago, before the gentrification of Michigan Avenue stole State's thunder as the city's shopping mecca. Still, the allure of what used to be the hippest strip in town remains in its old-fashioned wrought iron lampposts and ornate glass-enclosed entrances that lead down to the subway. Also home to the city's self-proclaimed theater district, almost-gaudy, loud marquees cry out the big shows in town.
