Forum by the Sea for Everything!

Forum by the Sea is an entertainment and shopping complex that is on the go almost 24 hours a day. With several of the big clubs, including the Hard Rock Café, Coco Bongo, and Senor Frog’s, the Forum is definitely the place to go for the best of Cancun’s fabled nightlife. Before you go, you can check out the English/Spanish website forumbythesea.com.mx for info about events and a listing of current entertainment, shops, restaurants, and hours for everything. I say "current" because businesses open and close at an amazing speed in Cancun and even the locals aren’t always sure of what is open when. You might want to call ahead as well (locally this is 8835023 or 8834425) because websites are only as good as their last update. Getting there is easy: all four of the local buses go to Plaza Forum Mall, many of the hotels and resorts organize free bus shuttles to the Forum on specific nights (check with your resort’s Animacion Team or Public Relations), and almost every taxi driver will know Forum by the Sea or the nightclubs such as Coco Bongo and Senor Frog’s. Be prepared for loud music and brilliant colours. Stage shows feature dancing, lip-syncing, some live music, and other entertainment. Drinks are reasonably priced: about $4 for a margarita in most of the bars and beer is cheap everywhere. Cover charges vary but often there is free admission.
