Beautiful beaches! Great swimming pools! Plenty of activities to keep you more than busy. I highly recommend visiting this place. There are romantic dinner spots at night and plenty of cheap places to buy souveniers.

Don't pass up an opportunity to go here.

Take a Jungle Tour- Aqua World

You start on the lagoon side of Cancun and take an adventurous Waverunner ride or small jet boat through a mangrove mini jungle to the ocean side. You rally the boats in the middle of the ocean, and start a guided snorkel through beautiful coral reef. The snorkeling is unlimited, they come out in groups every 30 minutes so you can take as long as you want. After you head back they feed you lunch, and take your picture.

For an extra $20 you can take the recorded VCR adventure home with you. Yep, they tape each trip. But I'll warn you, controlling a wave runner against crashing waves is work! Thumbs up... gotta try it. If you like that try a submarine deep dive, wave runner rentals, and everything Aqua World offers.

Aqua World Jungle Tour

What made this excursion especially fun was the fact it was 2 adventures in 1. Not only did we get to go snorkeling which was what we originally intended to do, but we got to go jet skiing too. This company offers a Jungle Tour that starts out on jet skis through the mangroves. The tour guide is on the front jet ski and your job is to stay up with him. You can get going pretty fast, but it's a ball. We had one guy fall off his jet ski when he tried to cut across the wake of the one in front of him. Someone else lost a hat so we scooped it up on our way by it. I got drenched and almost thrown off of my jet ski when I went through a wake. Everyone is equipped with life vests so at least there's no danger of drowning when you fly off! As you are making your way through this area, there is a camera in the trees taking pictures of each jet skier which you can purchase when you return after your days event. It's actually a great idea so that you can keep the memory of what it was like on the ride.

After the jet ski ride, you arrive in the ocean and line up your jet skis and tie them off together. It's now time to get out your snorkeling gear given to you back at the dock. Everyone is asked to leave on their life vest because they do not want the coral on the reef damaged by people diving down to touch it. We all went off on our own floating along and exploring the sites. I enjoyed snorkeling with a life vest because I'm not a strong swimmer so this allowed me to float and really soak in the underwater life without struggling to stay afloat. Make sure to bring along an underwater camera on this tour.

As the time approached to return, everyone made their way back to their jet ski and the tour guide broke out the drinks. Yes, each adult was entitled to an alcoholic drink and youngsters to a non-alcoholic one, but I passed knowing we had a long drive back to the shore and I wanted to be fully alert.

When we arrived back at the dock, we were told we got to keep the snorkel as a souvenir. Of course the kids loved that...anything they perceive as free! This was a very exciting adventure. I would take this tour every time I went back to Cancun it was that fun.

The list of activities in Cancun is not short and the hard part can be deciding what to actually partake in as well as gettting your money's worth. For people who love to spend time in a boat or waverunning and feel like the services along side the beach cost way too much for the amount of time you spend using the equipment, then the jungle tour is for you. What's great is that you get one hour of time on your own to use a waverunner to get to the snorkeling destination, and then you get another hour snorkeling and enjoying the water of Cancun. You're definitely getting alot more than you pay for with the jungle tour so definitely take advantage of the opportunity!

Parasailing

This was the first time that I ever had parasailed, me being afraid of heights! I made my friend go first and I waited on the beach as she took off. The ride went smoothly until she wanted to land. I think she had every Mexican on the beach running after her yelling "Pull Harder!!" You have to pull the ropes to steer and to land the parasail, she almost crashed into the hotel! After I got finished laughing at her it was my turn! This was exciting and scary all at once, but it was the best view I could've asked for! You can see for miles when your up there and I even took my camera with me.
