Kingsmill on the James

  • June 23, 2003
  • Rated 5 of 5 by djmcavoy from Finleyville, Pennsylvania
Kingsmill offers three 18-hole championship caliber courses to play: the Woods course, the River course, and the Plantation course, as well as a 9-hole executive par 3 course known as Bray Links. All are groomed like the better country club courses. Although a bit expensive compared to most public courses, definitely worth it for the occasional vacation reward to the average golfer. Beautifully manicured tees, faiways and greens, as well as those pesky sand traps. Not to mention some of the views of the James River on some of the holes. Whether you score in the 70s, 80s, 90s or higher, just the trip around the course with views and well kept grounds gives you sufficient reward for your money. If you can afford this one, you can't visit Wiliamsburg without at least one round here.
