Big Bus Tour

You can chose a number of different bus routes that will bring you all over the city. The best is the yellow and blue lines. The red, (I think), forces you to Harrods. Harrods is okay to visit but you might as well be in Bloomingdales with a significant price increase. See the buildings. They are spectacular.

The Big Bus

This is an excellent tour that I would recommend for anyone visiting London. There are several stops throughout the city where you can get off, see the sites on your own schedule, and then get back on the bus to go to the next stop.

The tour is from one of London's famous double-decker buses, and is fully narrated. You can catch it from any of the city stops, and buy your tickets there as well. Bring your raincoat, because views from the upper (open) deck are the best. Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Westminister Abbey are just a few of the stops.

When you go to London, you want to ride on that double decker tour bus. Well ladies and gentleman I have found the best bus around, the Big Bus Tour buses. All you do is buy a ticket at their store in London or have your concierge at the hotel get one for you. Then you look for the burgundy and tan buses, and you hop on. The commentators are live locals who tell you about the sites you pass. There are designated stops along the way and if you don't want to get off, don't, but if you do, just tell the commentator (he stands right in the middle of the top deck), and they let you off. Shop, look around, do whatever, then when you want to go somewhere else, look for another Big Bus, they are all over and you just hop from bus to bus until you are satisfied and want to go home. The tickets are good for 24 hours so if you buy one at noon one day it is good till noon the next day. A great experience!
